Drake’s Views has gone triple platinum Roughly four months after its release, Views has gone triple platinum. Drake’s fourth studio album has now sold three million units, after selling one million album equivalent units on its first week out. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)-acknowledged achievement comes in the same year that Drake’s Grammy winning Take Care album went four times platinum. The RIAA rules for certification were adjusted earlier this year to take streams into account, and given Views was a two-week Apple exclusive that decision will have helped the Toronto native’s album reach its current status. The album still sits high on the UK’s album charts, and One Dance broke UK chart records for being the longest-running number one since legal downloads began counting towards chart position. And with a potential collaboration album with Kanye West on the way, and a new mixtape with Gucci Mane thought to also be on the horizon, Drake doesn’t look like he’s any less hungry for success.
